"THINK PINK!! THINK PINK!! That's how the song from Audrey Hepburn's classic movie "The Funny Face" goes. So why Think Pink? We figured that for a new club to be successful, (read, noticeable) we should think out of the box and what better than to think out of a colourful, bright PINK box to show our originality, vivaciousness and daring?!

So what is the point of setting up a new club? Well, to tell you the truth, the Pink Hibiscus was born out of frustrations. Yes, it was pure frustration that brought a bunch of foreign and local "Penanites" together, because we felt that Penang (and our lives) deserved some infusion of culture and fun, and certainly a club without the apathy and/or politics. So anyway, we decided the objective of our club will be to:-

1. Promote and Foster Cultural Diversity in
2. Penang Serve as a forum for multicultural education and exchange
3. Support and resource for the "Pink" race & families of international marriages
4. AND dare we say it, to have FUN in the process!

The Pink Hibiscus was chosen as our club to represent the international mix of Malaysians (as represented by the National flower red Hibiscus) and foreigners (white For orang asing/puteh /whatever), giving rise to the ever-optimistic Pink colour.

Our first order of the day for this fledgling club is to set up the schedule of events for the club. Mind you, there's only a handful of us just now so our events may be somewhat limited by the number of people who can actually DO the work. Fortunately, we're all an enthusiastic, young (relatively, at least young at heart and mind!), and passionate bunch of people who believe in what this club can do as a platform for our interests and passion. So without further a due, here's our menu for the moment! Take your time to glance through and decide what you'd like to have and well be back soon to take your "order"!
